calls me

I scream so silently

Let me breathe

But the insanity calls me

Holds me tight 

Cannot rationalize 

Darkness at the brim

Blank expressions 

What to do? 

Hold on to the emotions 

So 

Carnage on my soul

Can define me

Where to go? 

Following the delusional view 

Grasping for serenity 

Allah hold my soul 

Bring in the noor

To soothe the flame

For the eruption of the mount

Needs to conquer this trap 

What the dunya holds 

To hold on to hope

Seeking something

Is that insanity or serenity?

Perhaps I need to read

The word

Of Allah Almighty 

Allahu Akbar 

God is the greatest

For Allah shall guide my soul 

Away from the darkness

To breathe in the noor

Not to follow those deadly deeds

To seek serenity 

Holding onto hope 

Open up my eyes

Oh Lord of all

Allahu 

I love you

Will I love myself enough? 

Truly that is the question

Of the ages of my life

Allah save me from myself

I leave my heart to you

For I seek you always

Allah hear my silence 

Holding me dear

But I am deaf and blind

To the call of serenity 

Help me save my sanity 

Let me breathe

And bring in the peace

To set me free of the nafs
